The expansive Ute Indian lands west of the property contain one of the largest herds of elk in Northeastern Utah. The early tribal hunts precede the Utah State elk hunt and drive the elusive bulls to cross the river onto the listed property to access the same steep ledges that the wisest of bucks occupy.
